Board of Directors

The Mustang SUD Board of Directors is composed of nine elected Places.  There are seven geographic single-member Places and two regional at-large Places. Three Places are elected each year for a three-year term. Registered voters may only vote for candidates in the Place and At-Large region in which they reside. 

The Director election schedule is as follows:

  • 2025   Places 1, 2, and 3
  • 2026   Places 4, 5, and 8 (At-Large West)
  • 2027   Places 6, 7, and 9 (At-Large East)

Qualifications for Director:

  1. A primary resident within the boundary of the Place being sought.
  2. A Mustang SUD retail water or wastewater service customer within the Place being sought.
  3. A United States Citizen & over the age of 18.
  4. Resided continuously in Texas for 12 months, and in the district from which the office is elected for 6 months immediately preceding the annual candidate application filing deadline set by the State.
  5. A currently registered voter in the County of residence. (Denton, Collin, or Grayson)
  6. All State of Texas requirements to hold office as a director.

Mustang SUD elections are held at the District Headquarters Office on the annual May uniform election date set by the State. The address is 7985 FM 2931, Aubrey, TX 76227.

*To qualify for a Mail-In Ballot, eligibility requirements of the Texas Election Code must be met and an application must be filed with your county of residence.   • Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Election Day Hours (Saturday, May 4)
